IPTS Refurbishing Process
At Independent Photo Tech Service we remanufacture our minilabs in our
refurbishing process. When you
receive a refurbished machine from IPTS we insure it will function just
like new upon installation. We offer a 6 month warranty with our
refurbished minilabs, so it is in our best interest to ensure you are completely
satisfied with your minilab and the prints it produces. Here is our
checklist to prepare a refurbished minilab.
- Disassemble and remanufacture all
racks
- Sanitize chemical tanks
- Clean and repair drive train and
chain
- Test and replace replenishment pumps
- Remove and professionally paint all
exterior panels and sorter with stain resistant auto paint
- Remove and replace panel decals
- Test and repair scanner and exposure
parts
- Replace air and chemical filters
- Test run the minilab with water
- Test and repair all sensors and user
interface system
- Live test the system with new
chemicals
Used Minilabs
We ensure our used minilabs are fully functional too.
Used minilabs might be rougher looking than the refurbished
minilabs and have older internal parts, however we guarantee our used
labs to work upon installation.
As-Is Minilabs
As-is simply means this machine is too far away for us to inspect, test,
and warranty. If a seller and buyer of a posted minilab are not in the
Midwest US it is not practical for us to offer a warranty on that
machine. Therefore it is listed As-is
Parts Machines
Occasionally we sell minilabs that are damaged and better as parts
machines than candidates for refurbishing. These minilabs tend to go
very cheap and we offer no guarantee on them. Listed machines in this
condition will clearly be marked "parts machine."
